The organization (SLDA) established in the year 1984 has completed successful 30 year of its existence and uninterruptedly working towards the empowerment of disadvantaged sections of society i.e. scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, other backward classes, women and children at large. Voluntary action, which is not directed or controlled by the state, has a long and useful record of service in various fields of human endeavor in India. Any programme of social change can be effectively implemented by the voluntary agencies only with the active involvement of all sections of people. They are the ones actually affected and they must first accept the need and feel the desire for change Enlightened voluntary workers can best being together Govt. and the people. The participation of the voluntary organization is vital to the fulfillment of our national goal. Social & Literacy Development Association is an autonomous, non-political & non-profit voluntary organization was setup in 1984 by a group of social workers and aims at contributing to improving the quality of life of the community in the un-organized sections & their family members specially living in Rural areas through its various programmes Social & Literacy Development Association is committed to the cause of developing social, intellectual, vocational andoccupational skills and thus improving the overall personality of poors specially who are living below poverty line.
Social & Literacy Development Association is engaged in promoting education, women & child development, AGP welfare of minorities, welfare of disabled persons, social, educational, cultural, economic, vocational & income generation training programmes for the messes at large in order to develop and improve physical, intellectual, vocational, occupatio-nal, efficiency, personality and well being of the community.
